STARDINIA is proud to present INSULA, a range of body-care natural products that combines the traditional medicinal lore with the needs of a fast changing world. Amongst such refined products, the helichrysum soap line stands out. The pronounced anti-inflammatory and antihistaminic properties of the helichrysum plant are well known since ancient times when its use was widespread, used to be prepared in poultices, brews or ointments, to counter various illnesses. Its action focuses on dermal allergic reactions and skin illnesses like psoriasis. The action of its active ingredients are in fact comparable to those produced by the cortisone molecule in reducing inflammation while promoting a spontaneous immune response. This tiny yellow flower lavishly gifts the soap with its warm woody iconic scent.
Another extraordinary product by INSULA is a soap enriched with almond oil and goat milk: such milk is fresh and rich in natural fatty acids, proteins and vitamin A and E as well as polyphenols and numerous mineral elements. Its antioxidant and moisturizing action proves remarkably soothing while being far less allergenic if compared to different kinds of milk. Almond oil features a high percentage of oleic and linoleic acids which grant soothing, elasticizing and nourishing effects. Vitamins E and B together with amino acids, minerals and the carbohydrate content, ensure its worth in countering skin aging.
The synergism developed between goat milk and almond oil makes this moisturizing soap remarkably nourishing thus well suited for delicate and dry skins. Numerous essential oils like rose, citrus and Mediterranean woody essences, gift the product a delightfully delicate scent.
Kessa, Aina and Lidone soap lines are more INSULA refined products to be discovered.
The production process INSULA adopts begins with an eco-compatible organic soap stock of certified origin to which are added all the necessary extracts and essences, those are produced with simple techniques such as steeping, conducted in broad sunlight with the addition of fine oils and native plants either gathered in wild areas or produced by certified local organic growers. The goat and donkey milks are derived from free ranging productions. All such ingredients are then carefully mixed and extruded through a draw-bench from which the soap bar is finally cut. Each piece is hand stamped and briefly cured to allow the proper attuning of all ingredients, all soap bars are hand wrapped in paper and sealed.
Extreme care is placed in choosing the raw materials but also a deep botanical knowledge is bestowed upon the final product: The INSULA team is composed by professional botanical experts and enthusiasts that every day lend their experience to manufacture exclusive goods of the highest quality while caring for the environment and its balance.
